In 1997 a lifelong interest in the arts led to a focus on gourd art after visiting a gourd art gallery.  Initially experimenting with wood finishing techniques, pyrography, weaving, carving, and painting resulted in many well-received gifts to family members and friends.  This interest served as inspiration to explore the world of fine art gourds and the refinement of techniques and processes.

 Today this love of gourd art continues, incorporating designs from nature, sculpture, different cultures, and the gourd itself, each gourd having its own unique spirit.

In addition to participation in local art fairs and gourd festivals, my work has been exhibited at the following events and galleries:
